about jessica
Hi, friend—I’m so glad you’re here.
For years, I searched for healing in all the wrong places. Looking outside of myself, I chased the latest fitness fads, fell victim to beauty trends, I looked to mentors and boyfriends and idols — and tried to mold myself into an impossible standard—only to feel more disconnected, anxious, and lost.
In 2017, in my mid-twenties, I was working in the entertainment industry in Los Angeles. My body felt like something to be fixed, my mind was constantly racing, and panic attacks became a regular part of my routine. I was so disassociated that even a gentle touch would make me jump. I lived in a constant state of fight-or-flight.
Then, my world cracked open. The end of a 13-year relationship forced me to turn up the lights and take a deeper look: Who am I? How did I get here? What pain have I buried so deep that it still lives within me?
The material I found with Katonah Yoga changed the way I looked at the world—everything began to shift. Patterns emerged, relationships evolved, and pieces of old conditioning started to fall away. For the first time in years, I started to reclaim my body, my mind, and my choices. Healing wasn’t about fixing myself—it was about remembering myself.
The tools I share today are a culmination of nearly a decade of study, practice, and deep personal transformation. They are not about trends or quick fixes. They are about real, lasting change—the kind that brings you home to yourself.
If any of this resonates, you’re in the right place.
A more joyful, intentional life is doable — I’m thrilled to start the journey together.

Katonah Yoga is a syncretic Hatha yoga practice developed by Nevine Michaan over 45 years. She and her teachers incorporate classical Hatha yoga with taoist theory, geometry, magic, mythology, and imagination in a practical framework designed to potentiate personal and communal well-being. Framing the practice, maps of time and personal space are defined and redefined. Theme using asana as origami, manipulating form for function, and developing a sense of personal measure are incorporated in Katonah Yoga practices.
Katonah Yoga is organized around three principles of esoteric dialogue: all polarities and mediated by trinity; the universe has pattern, pattern belies intelligence; by virtue of repetition there is potential for insight.
Katonah Yoga invites us to question our habituals and shows where you normally go, and where you don’t. It gives you a map that helps you orient and direct yourself in time and space. It asks you to explore new perspectives and angles within and around your body and to notice how that translates from your practice into your life experience. Katonah yoga puts you in the center of your circumstances and gives you tools and techniques to live a good life and ultimately to find joy.
